Diving
Must
Have Dive Equipment For Every Cold Water Dive!
Gear
Bag: To hold all your gear for any dive. Any dive bag
is good, or you can use a large Rubbermaid container.
Fins:
They allow you to swim with less effort and great efficiency.
Mask:
Our window to the ocean.
Snorkel:
A way for us to breathe on the surface with out lifting your
head out of the water, and with out using your air.
An
Exposure Suit: Any 7MM or greater wet or dry suit is best
for our waters. Of course, you will need 7MM gloves, hood,
boots, etc. as well.
A Weight
System: For Buoyancy control. If you have never dove with
a 7MM or greater exposure suit before, you may need to re
adjust your weight system.
A Buoyancy
Control Device (BCD): An expandable bladder used for buoyancy
control.
Tanks:
Use to hold our high pressure air. They should have current
visual and hydrostatic tests.
Regulators:
The system that takes the high pressure air from our tanks,
and turns it into ambient pressure air we can breathe.
Submersible
Pressure Gage (SPG): To find our current tank pressure.
Alternate
Air Source: A must! Used to share air with a buddy diver
in case of emergency.
Compass:
Don't leave home without it.
Depth
Gauge: To find out the current depth during the dive.
Recreational
Dive Planer (PADI): To plan all dives.
Knife:
A must have tool for every dive.
Watch:
A dive watch is use to time your dives, and tell time.
Dive
Computers: A
welcome addition to any dive.
Accessory

Float
and Flag: Denotes
divers in the area and is a place to store items.
Dive
Light (Primary & Secondary):
To bring sea life's colors out, and see during a night dive.
Slate
& Pencil: A
secondary method of communication
Glow
Sticks: A
must have for night diving, they allow use to pinpoint our
buddies easier.
Camera:
The
most beautiful pictures can be take here.
Lift
and/or Goodie Bag: To
lift heavy equipment, and carry items you find (NON SEA LIFE).
Surface
O2: In
case of diving emergencies (Oxygen should only be administer
my a trained professional).
Save
a Dive Kit: Keep
spare items such as fin straps, O-Ring's, and tools. You never
want to have a dive ruined by having a fin strap break without
a spare. Some of the dive sites here are remote, so preparation
is key.

cold here some times, and you will want spare cloths in case
you get wet, or if the temperature changes.

A must!

Log ever dive and get your buddy to sign it.
Sunglasses:
Just
in case, it does get sunny here.
Suntan
Lotion: If
its sunny, you will want protection.
